Merry Christmas My Lovelies!

Hi my lovelies,

I just want to say a very Merry Christmas to everyone (or happy holidays if you don’t celebrate), especially everyone who’s been following my blog for a while.

This year of blogging has been an absolute blast, and I celebrated my one year blogaversary on the 23rd December – it’s been such a ride, I’ve discovered lots of must have, holy grail products this year, and some massive duds too! Most of all, I hope I’ve made a few good friends from blogging too – and I hope to make more and make 2017 an amazing year!

I hope you’re all having a lovely time this Christmas, and wish everyone the best time! I’ll see you all in a couple of days!

Love you all, and thank you (even the new followers) for sticking with me! Let’s make 2017 the best ever!

Jess xoxo

Winter skincare update – Evening Routine! (Blogmas, Day 22)

Hi my lovelies,

If you saw my morning skincare update a few days back, you’ll be expecting this post! I’m sharing the ways that I’m switching up my skincare for winter as the weather gets harsher and colder during winter! One thing I’m a real stickler about is my night time routine, and I make sure that I take my makeup off and clean away all the dirt of the day off before I go to bed every night! Here’s my night time routine for winter!

If you haven’t seen my morning skincare update, you can find that one here!

My night time routine:

No matter how tired I am or how late it is, I always make sure to take my makeup off, so that’s the first step. If I’m wearing eye makeup, I always use Clinique’s Take the day off for Lids, Lashes and Lips to remove that first as it’s the only thing that really gets rid of everything without pulling a load of my eyelashes with it! It’s definitely the best eye makeup remover I’ve tried.

Hi my lovelies!

We’re up to the penultimate advent unboxing post! I hope you’re not getting bored of these, because as we get near (sooooo near) to Christmas day, I manage to get more and more excited by these unboxings! We’ve seen Lancome, YSL, Viktor & Rolf, Urban Decay, Kiehls – all these fab brands so far and some products that I’m already loving!

Let’s see what the last three days brought! Strangely, all three of this last three day’s beauty treats were fragrances – I’ll admit I wish there were a little more variety with the products, but they’re from three different brands so I’ll forgive it.

Winter skincare update – morning routine! (Blogmas, day 19)

Hi my lovelies,

Welcome back to Blogmas! For today’s post, I thought i’d do an updated skincare post, with all the stuff I’m using at the moment! I have combination skin, so it tends to fluctuate pretty regularly between oily and dry, but with the cold, harsh weather in winter my skin dries out pretty badly and I definitely switch my skincare up to make sure I stay hydrated! I know it’s a little cliche to do this kind of post, but It’s been a long time since I’ve shared my skincare faves with you all that I use daily, so I’m about due! This one is my regular morning routine, and in a couple of days I’ll have a night time routine too, so look out for that one!

My morning routine:

I’ve been using the new Clinique exfoliating cleanser recently – and loving it! This is microbead free, and is really nice and scrubby (sounds weird but you all know what I mean) and I’ve noticed my face is definitely smoother than before after using this – and less texture is always good! It’s exfoliating and foamy at the same time, and I’ve been using a little of this in the morning to cleanse. If i’m in a rush or not in the exfoliaty mood, I’ll cleanse using a little Bioderma on a cotton pad as it gets rid of dirt really easily.

So I have to say that these three products are some of the most impressive I’ve come across so far! The sheer value of these alone is almost £50 which is incredible! Let’s get into it, shall we?

Look Incredible Beauty Box – December 2016! (Blogmas, Day 17)

Hi my lovelies,

For today’s post, it’s back to one of my regular monthly posts – my Look Incredible unboxing for December! Last month’s box was really good, so December really had to step up its game to beat November! I’m still using the Fresh Lip treatment nightly!

20161213_2330400

First up, If you  don’t know about Look Incredible, it’s a monthly beauty subscription service that for £18.99 (now plus £2.50 postage), promises to deliver you five full sized beauty products every month. They’ve had the likes of Tarte, Bare Minerals, Smashbox, Stila and Nars in previous boxes, and are pretty makeup heavy instead of more skincare items, so If you want to try some new makeup without paying the full price, this one is for you!

Want to see what was in previous boxes? Here are November, September, and  August‘s   boxes!

I’m actually quite impressed with this month’s box apart from one product that’s a strange shade for me, but I’ll forgive Look Incredible that as we don’t fill in a survey to match products for us. I’m super impressed with the lip products most of all! I’ve also noticed Look Incredible are tending to repeat brands in these boxes quite often – a coincidence?

So what was in store for December?

Lush Mini Product Reviews! (Blogmas, Day 16 )

Hi my lovelies,

For today’s post, I’m reviewing my new purchases from Lush! I’m a huge fan of Lush, and I picked up a good few things the last time I was there, a lot of which I haven’t used before. It’s not really Christmassy, but some of this is from their Christmas collection, so I thought I’d slip this in there for something a bit different! If you saw my Manchester Haul, you’ll know what I bought, but here I’m being a little more in depth!

Birchbox December 2016 Unboxing – My Last Box & Why I’m Cancelling! (Blogmas, day 14)

Hi My lovelies,

Today’s post is all about my final Birchbox of the year, and my last box for the time being! I’m cancelling after December’s box,  think new year, new start kind of thing. After getting Birchbox for a full year, I’ve come to the realisation that I’m never 100% impressed with the box, or there’s some sort of mistake or error, or there are products in there which are completely unsuitable for me. So I’m starting off January without my Birchbox subscription! Regardless, December’s box is actually pretty good and almost made me reconsider my decision to quit for now (apart from a problem I’ll address below), so let’s see what was inside!

20161213_232348

This month is Christmas themed, and Birchbox always bring out the best at this time of year which is why I’ve stuck it out for this box. The box is a strange design this month, pretty plain but opens up like a storage box, which could be handy to keep pens or makeup brushes in (although I like the drawer style boxes better!)

So what was in my box this month?

My Top 10 Christmas Movies! – Blogmas, day 13!)

Hi my lovelies,

Welcome back to Blogmas! We’re over half way through now – can you believe it’s less than two weeks until Christmas?

13

I figured I’d go for something a bit more festive for today’s post, so I’m going to count down my favourite Christmas movies for you! I’ve loved watching Christmas films ever since I was little, and these are some of my absolute favourites! I’ll count down from 10 to 1, with my very favourite at the end!

More Blogmas Posts Here!

On with the countdown!

10: Jingle All The Way

This movie is somewhat of a guilty pleasure for me. Whether it’s Arnie’s slightly wooden yet extremely comical acting, the scene with the parcel bomb, or the creepy guy that no one likes getting whacked with a thermos at the end, I love to watch this movie. It follows Arnold Schwarzenegger (right spelling first time, wow!) trying to get a sold out toy for his son the day before Christmas – it’s funny, memorable, and one that I watch without fail every year!

9:The Santa Clause

A childhood favourite of mine – I have all of the Santa Clause movies on DVD and the box set comes out around this time every year for me to watch! Everyone’s seen Tim (The Tool Man Taylor!) Allen in his hilarious transformation into Santa by now, and it’s loads of family fun! Pretty much as cheesy as it gets but something I still enjoy watching.

8: The Nightmare Before Christmas
