May Beauty Faves!

Hi my lovelies,

So yet another month has passed and we’re now heading toward summer! Again I’m actually on time with my faves post this month, so let’s have a look at all the nice things I’ve been loving for May! I’ve got lots of makeup faves, along with some beauty tools, skincare, body products and even haircare this month, so let’s get this show on the road!

  • Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Palette

It’ll be no surprise to any of you that this is in my faves this month! This palette, however cumbersome the packaging is, is beautiful, the shadows are super buttery and pigmented, and I love how there are so many versatile shades to use in here! For a full review with swatches, have a look here!

Beauty Top 5: Favourite Blushes!

Hi my lovelies,

So it’s been a few days since my last post, but my best Beauty Blender post took me ages to write because I wanted everything to be sound, the photos to be good, and to talk about the topic the best I could! You can see that one here if you haven’t yet – it’s a good one!

I’m back with a vengeance and this post is going to be a nice relaxed one all about my current fave blushes! I’m pretty pale so I’ll admit almost all of these are pink, but each one looks completely different and adds something unique to my makeup looks!

In no particular order:

  • Sleek MakeUp Blush by 3 in Pink Lemonade

20160522_183746

I’m someone that really loves Sleek makeup. It’s affordable, accessible and great quality for the price. You all know by now that my absolute fave highlighter is their Solstice Highlight Palette (If you haven’t seen its beauty, go look here) so I’ve been trying out bits and pieces from Sleek and everything has been great so far. This Blush palette has three different shades, two powder and one cream, and range from a light shimmery pink ,to a satin cream middle pink and a brighter coral/orange blush. The cream one is my fave, as it blends out really well and looks really rosy and natural! They’re super pigmented, so use sparingly, but a great little palette, especially for travel as it doesn’t take up much space! It’s just £9.99 too, so a little over £3 per blush, bargain! Get it Here!

The Best Beauty Blending Sponge?? Beauty Blender VS Real Techniques VS Spectrum Collections!

Hi my lovelies,

So this is a post that that’s been in the works for a couple of weeks, and pretty requested from you guys since I first mentioned it! I’ve been testing out the Beauty Blender against the Real Techniques and the Spectrum Collections make up sponges for a good few weeks now, and I think I can talk about the pros and cons of all three now!

bb1

What I did: They say your foundation can only be as good as the tools you use to apply it, so I gave all three of these a try with two foundations – one high street (Revlon Colorstay) and one higher end (Clinique Beyond Perfecting), and I used my usual concealer and powder combos with them too!

The Lust List – May 2016!

Hi my lovelies,

I’m back with another installment of The Lust List, which is my collection of things I have been lusting over or wanting to try during the month of May!

tll

A you’ll know, I purchased the Alice Through the Looking Glass Palette from April’s list, and the Spectrum brushes from March’s so I’m not doing too badly with resisting temptation, really!

So what have I been lusting over this month?

  • Jeffree Star Skin Frost Highlighters

Now I love watching Jeffree’s Youtube channel and I  think he’s all around amazing! So when he did a video swatching his new range of highlighters, I fell in love instantly. The pans are huge, and they look gorgeous on the skin. I’m so excited for this launch as Jeffree + Highlighters should equal magic! The icy white one looks particularly amazing for my pale skin!

Beauty 101 – Concealer!

Hi my lovelies,

Today’s post is hopefully part one of a new segment for this blog, where I’ll talk about tips and tricks and how to get the best from your products! I’ve been thinking about this for a while but didn’t know where to start, but after speaking with my friend from Into the Gloss I realised that Concealer is something that people either have spot on or have no clue what to do! So this post is all about concealer and what to do with it! (P.S. What do you guys think of the name Beauty 101?)

concealer.jpg

Now I’ll admit that I used to think that concealer was just something you used to hide spots on your face but as I’ve got older and more informed (and better with make-up) I now know that concealer is so versatile and has so many uses!

What’s the best type of concealer for you?

Different skin types and concerns will need different types of concealer,so which is best for you?

Birchbox UK May 2016 “For The Dreamers” – Unboxing and Review!

Hi my lovelies,

I’m back with another beauty box review for May, and this time it’s Birchbox’s turn! It’s also Friday the 13th today so I don’t know whether I’m jinxing this post or not by putting this up today! Are any of you guys superstitious? Got any good Friday 13th stories?

Anyway, May’s Birchbox theme for this month is “For the Dreamers” and the box features a design that’s hidden away underneath a silver scratch away overlay. I will say it took me around 15 minutes to fully scratch away all of the overlay and I ended up with silver foil bits everywhere, but i think the design for this box is stunning yet again! It’s full of bright colours and different patterns, and is well worth scratching away the foil if you have a little time!

Look Incredible Beauty Box – May 2016 Unboxing and Review!

Hi my lovelies,

Today I’m back with another Look Incredible beauty box unboxing post! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll have seen a little sneak peek of one of the items in this month’s box, and there’s a little spoiler of my Birchbox there, too!

20160506_174041

If you  don’t know about Look Incredible, it’s a monthly beauty subscription service that for £18.99 (now plus £2.50 postage), promises to deliver you five full sized beauty products every month. They’ve had the likes of Tarte, Bare Minerals, Smashbox and Nars in previous boxes, and are pretty makeup heavy instead of more skincare items, so If you want to try some new makeup without paying the full price, this one is for you!

Interested? Find out more at lookincredible.co.uk/products/beautybox

This box is a little bit hit and miss for me, there are a few products that i’m really excited about, and some that I’m really not, so lets dive in and see what’s in there for this month!
