Hi my lovelies,
I’m back after a somewhat extended hiatus (basically, I went on holiday, came home, and got sick) with my monthly review of the Look Incredible beauty box!
As of last month, I’ve cancelled all of my beauty subscriptions apart from this one – I’m on the lookout for a new one if you guys have any suggestions? Birchbox wasn’t really doing it for me and of all the subscriptions this is the one that I think gives me the best value for money, with fab brands every month! My box is a little battered on the outside this month (likely courtesy of my delivery person), but it’s what’s on the inside that count, right?
First up, If you don’t know about Look Incredible, it’s a monthly beauty subscription service that for £18.99 (now plus £2.50 postage), promises to deliver you five full sized beauty products every month. They’ve had the likes of Tarte, Bare Minerals, Smashbox, Stila and Nars in previous boxes, and are pretty makeup heavy instead of more skincare items, so If you want to try some new makeup without paying the full price, this one is for you!

So what’s in February’s box?
- Coastal Scents Revealed Smoky Eyeshadow Palette – RRP £20
I was SO excited to open my box this month and find this! This isn’t a brand I’m familiar with at all, and after doing a little research seems to be an American brand that’s more difficult to get hold of here in blighty. Regardless, this palette is full of neutral shades that I could use on a daily basis, along with smokier greys and plum shades on the darker end of the spectrum. The shadows are a tiny bit powdery but the pigment packs a punch, and these do swatch beautifully (even the purples!) I can’t wait to get stuck in and try some looks with this palette! Let me know if you want a review on this – I’d be happy to do one.
- Korres Mango Butter Lipstick in Natural Rose – RRP £9.99
Korres and I don’t have the best of history (remember the eye primer that gave me a rash – good times!) but lipstick is something I can normally use without any consequences. I have £3 lipsticks and £20 lipsticks and nothing has ever caused a problem so far. This lipstick has mango butter to hydrate and moisturise along with a pop of colour. The shade I got is Natural Rose, a warm rosy pink which should be great for a no makeup-makeup day or when I’m feeling more laid back. It has a glossy finish which I reckon I’ll enjoy a lot when it comes to the warmer months.
- Nails Inc NailKale Polish in Westbourne Park Road – RRP £15
When it comes to nail polish formulas it’s hard to beat Nails Inc for me. Every polish i’ve tried from them has gone on streak free and lasted absolutely ages. Which is why I was so happy to get this polish in my box this month. Westbourne Park Road is a nude shade that pulls quite lilac/mauvey/taupey on me, and I love it. I’m not one to go for wild and wacky colours when it comes to my nails, so I tend to stay with safer colours (or blues if i’m feeling especially daring) and this will make a fantastic shade to wear when I want polish on my nails but nothing over the top. I painted my nails with this straight away and I’m definitely loving this!
- Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner – RRP £22
This is essentially a double sided brow styler with a shading pencil on one side and a highlight shade on the other. I can’t see this working for everybody as the brown claims to be universal but wouldn’t work for those with very fair hair or very dark hair, but as I fall into the middle of the spectrum it does work for me. On first use this is a really nice brow pencil, actually. It’s easy to use and has just enough pigment, and the highlight side is pretty good too. I still prefer my beloved Anastasia brow wiz with the spoolie on one end, but I’ll definitely use this too.
- Fresh Face Essence with Green Coffee – RRP £20
So the lip treatment I got from this brand previously is now my absolute favourite lip balm, so I definitely have high hopes for this! Now I can’t really find much about this online, but it claims to rejuvenate skin, brighten and smooth skin, as well as prevent dehydration. I’m going to try and find out all the ingredients before I start to use this, but i’ll give it the old college try after my current serum is done with. If you’ve used this before, please let me know!
Total value of February’s box – £86.99!
Overall I reckon this is one of the best boxes I’ve had in a while from Look Incredible and I’m definitely keeping my subscription up in 2017! I’m just about out of my beloved Clinique serum so I’ll give the Fresh one a go and report back on that soon, and I’m beyond jazzed to receive an eyeshadow palette in here too! As I said, it swatches beautifully and I can’t wait to play around with the shadows in here. A big hit in the yay! column for feb’s Look Incredible box for me!
