Beauty Top 5 – Current Fave Eyeshadow Palettes! (Blogmas, day 20)

Hi my lovelies,

Welcome back to Blogmas! When I sat down to think up some posts for this month, I realised how long it’s been since I posted a Beauty Top 5! One of my favourite makeup items to buy (apart from lip products because seriously, I have a problem and probably need to seek therapy for my addiction) is eyeshadows and eyeshadow palettes, and I thought today I’d share all of my current faves with you! Tell me what your faves are down in the comments please!

Now there are definitely a lot of warm, neutral shadows in here as they’re my favourites to wear, and neutrals are easiest to do on a daily basis – let’s see which palettes I’ve been using the most lately, shall we?

Look Incredible Beauty Box – November 2016!

Hi my lovelies,

Today’s post is all about my Look Incredible box for November. I’ve had this for a couple of weeks now and tried everything out, so there’s mini reviews of the products in here too! I missed October’s box review, but last month was nothing to shout about really. So straight on to November’s review which is a lot more pleasing to me!

20161127_231947

First up, If you  don’t know about Look Incredible, it’s a monthly beauty subscription service that for £18.99 (now plus £2.50 postage), promises to deliver you five full sized beauty products every month. They’ve had the likes of Tarte, Bare Minerals, Smashbox, Stila and Nars in previous boxes, and are pretty makeup heavy instead of more skincare items, so If you want to try some new makeup without paying the full price, this one is for you!

Interested? Find out more at lookincredible.co.uk/products/beautybox

Want to see what was in previous boxes? Here are September,  August and  July’s,  boxes!

Feel Unique’s Pick N Mix Samples Service! (Soooo Good!)

Hi my lovelies,

If you’re anything like me, you’ll absolutely love this new service from Feel Unique! Whereas in the states you can walk into any Sephora and request a sample of something, beauty stores and brands are not so generous over here in the UK. This is partially because drugstores/department stores normally have testers that you can sample in store to see whether you like the texture and so, but with makeup products you need to see how they wear through the day, or especially with skincare items you need to see how they work out over the course of a week or so.

feel-unique

Overall it seems to be a lot more difficult to get good samples in the UK – Step in Feel Unique, who have added this lovely little addition to their website! Basically, you choose five samples to receive out of literally hundreds (I just checked, there are 416 to choose from right now!) – there’s skincare, hair products, body products, fragrance and even some makeup in there (though you have to be quick to get those!). I’m a big fan of Feel Unique, as they carry lots of brands I love, give you a 10% code off your fave brand for life, and often have great new products and sales! Plus shipping is free over £15!

The Pick N Mix service is technically free, although you do have to pay Feel Unique £3.95 in postage and handling for your samples. However (and this is one of the best bits) they’ll send you a voucher for the same amount off your next purchase with them, which I think is pretty great! You can order samples once per month.

You can find out more info on Feel Unique’s website! || Terms and Conditions

If you haven’t used Feel Unique before, you can also use my link to create an account (well worth it) and get 15% off your first order!

A Rather Successful Trip to TK Maxx – Mini Haul!

Hi my lovelies,

Happy Friday! (Or is it Fri-Yay?!)

Is is just me, or has TK Maxx massively stepped up its game recently? All I used to find were damaged palettes, ten million nail polishes and the odd gem that is actually really good. They seem to have had somewhat of a beauty and makeup overhaul over the last few months, and I’m finding more and more bargains in my local store!

So here’s what I picked up from TK Maxx on my last trip. Spoiler: I saved a ton of money!

(Slightly Belated) September Faves & Fails!

Hi my lovelies,

Happy October! We’re now into autumn (my favourite season!) , my jumpers and sweatshirts have come back into my clothes rotation as the weather turns colder, and I have my eye on a brand new pair of boots! The slow cooker is coming in handy with warming food and soups, and I get to switch up my beauty routine! Also: Halloween!! The transition from summer to autumn has been less than smooth (the weather can’t make up it’s mind), and my skin has been suffering a little lately – today we’re here to talk about the good and the bad for September, so let’s get stuck in!

Ultimate Sephora Wishlist Tag!

Hi my lovelies,

So I want to start this post by aplogisizng for the lack of posts this week (a combo of work stress, dissertation writing and writers block), and say a huge welcome to my new followers! I’d love to chat with all of you so come say hi in the comments or over on Twitter or Insta. Hello and I hope we can be great friends!

Don’t get me wrong, I love being British and living in the UK, but as a beauty blogger, it’s really stressful (not to mention expensive) trying to get US products over here. Either you’re slapped with huge delivery or customs charges, or UK stockists decide to charge you as much as they like, just because they can (Oh, hi £42 ABH palette).

One thing I really wish we had access to over here is definitely a Sephora – they have them in France, why not jolly ol’ England too? Everything you could ever want all in one place, a generous rewards system, and sales where you get more than a measly 10% off. All this, plus all of those coveted brands that are super difficult to find here and small travel sizes and gift sets! There are also Sephora brand products that I’ve heard great things about, and they’re just not available here! I have heard rumours lately about a possible UK store, which could mean great things for me! (Although probably not my bank account).

So here’s a list of products that I’ve decided I would buy if you gave me a free trip to Sephora!

August Faves and Fails!

Hi my lovelies,

A little belated, but here’s the list of things that I’ve been loving and loathing through the month of August! There’s definitely a big mix of items in here this month, from Makeup, skincare, Tv, books and music,  so grab a cuppa and settle in for August’s list!

The Faves:

  • Spectrum Marbleous Brushes – face20160820_161809

If you follow me on twitter or Instagram, you’ll know that I had a disaster with one of the old set of these I had, as one brush completely broke. The company (big props to Spectrum) were super nice and offered to replace it, but sent me an entire new set of brushes!! I love the new brushes even more than the old ones, and I’m particularly in love with the Contour Brush, the Large powder brush (perfect for a big sweep of bronzer), and the angled Stippling brush! A definite one to try out for anyone looking for new brushes!

Beauty Bay Makeup Haul!

Hi my lovelies,

You guys know I can’t resist a sale, so I caved yet again and bought a few things I’ve had my eye on from BeautyBay.com last week. They had a bank holiday sale (£10 off a £50 spend), so I definitely took advantage of it! Here’s what I ended up with! Let me know in the comments if you’d like to see a full review of any of these products!!

Also, apologies for this post being incredibly late, I have had zero time to blog over the last week or so. Rather than post something I wasn’t happy with, I decided to put it off until I could give you guys a well written post with some good pictures that I hope you’re used to from me. I’m definitely going to try and schedule blocks of writing time in the future, so please bear with me!

Onto the haul!

So what did I buy?

The Lust List – August 2016!

Hi my lovelies,

I’m back with another list of my most lustworthy items this month, and there are definitely some amazing items in store for August that I’ve had my eye on! These are beauty products, makeup, fashion and just about anything that I’ve been lusting over for the last month!

LUSTLISTAUGUST.jpg

So what have I been lusting after this month?

  • Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

If you haven’t heard about this concealer in the last few weeks – what rock have you been living under? I have heard blogger after blogger rave about this concealer this month, it supposedly has smooth, high coverage without being drying or patchy. There have been mixed reviews about the blending sponge to go with this concealer, and this is only sold on QVC over here, with the sponge in question. Therefore, I may give it a go, but I’m definitely lusting over it!
