Review: Lush Eau Roma Toner Water!

Hi my lovelies,

Today’s post is going to be a quick one: all about the Eau Roma toner water from Lush! I’ve been using a Clinique toner for a while, but it turned out to be a bit too harsh for me, and I’ve been looking for something to switch to. Step in Lush’s Eau Roma water, which is meant to be seriously gentle on my skin.

This toner has Rose Water and Lavender in there as active ingredients. Rose water helps to calm down the skin and help with any redness, while Lavender will hydrate and balance your complexion, according to the Lush website.

I’ve been using this both morning and night, after my cleanser and before any serums or moisturiser to make sure this really sinks in to my skin and works its magic. Just a few spritzes on my face like a setting spray, and then I pat it in gently with my fingers. Normally I leave it around 30 seconds or so to dry before putting anything else on afterwards. I have combination/oily skin, so I tend to have dry patches (around my forehead and cheeks mostly) and really oily spots (around my nose and chin especially, but it could be anywhere).

Pros:

I’ve found that this is really gentle even on my super sensitive skin, and it does live up to its claim of soothing redness – I’ve noticed my skin is far less red after incorporating this into my routine, and any breakouts I have go away sooner (a mix of this and my Origins Out of trouble mask, I expect). Unlike other cleansers, it’s more soothing and hydrating than astringent, and doesn’t have any alcohol in there (something my skin is really grateful for). This hydrates my dry patches and doesn’t irritate my skin at all either! I’ve found (although this might be from face masks) that there is less texture on my skin lately too, and that can’t be a coincidence. It also smells really good, if you’re into that.

Cons

If you’re really oily, I don’t think this will do much for you or your skin as it isn’t oily but it isn’t mattifying either. It’ll just add to the product on your face, which could make you oilier throughout the day. If you’re looking for a toner that’s going to revitalise or brighten your skin, this isn’t the one for you either, as it’s meant to calm and soothe.

I’m a big fan of Lush products in general, because I know they’re handmade, cruelty free, and as natural as possible. This Toner was recommended to me by a follower (seriously, thank you times a million and please give me more recommendations), and while I normally don’t look to Lush for skincare, It’s going to be definitely in the mix when I’m looking in the future!

Needless to say, I’m pretty impressed by this toner water, and since it’s going to be a while (sadly) until my next Lush trip, I’ve stocked up on the big bottle of this as it’s now integrated into my daily and nightly routine!

This toner water is £4.50 for 100g and £8.50 for 250g, and you can pick it up from any Lush store, or from the Lush Website.

I’d love to know what you guys think of this toner, and what your favourite Lush products are, so please let me know! If you have any recommendations about what to pick up on my next trip to Lush, please don’t hesitate to enable me!

As always, please let me know what you think in the comments and anything you want to see from my blog because I really love you guy’s input. Thank you guys for reading, and please don’t forget to give this post a big like and a share if you enjoyed it, and I’ll see you all very soon in the next post!
