Big Beauty Haul! Ft Clinique, NYX, Lush, Revlon & Eyelure!

Hi my lovelies,

I know what you’re all thinking, two posts in one day, oh my gosh Jess what happened to you!

So this post is a tad late, but over the easter holidays I went on a big shopping trip to the Trafford Centre (Basically a giant mall for those of you not familiar), and I picked up loads of things and spent way too much money!

I thought I’d tell you all about the beauty goodies I spent my hard earned wages on, so here we go! Let me know if you want to see the other things I bought, including clothes and homewares/lifestyle stuff!

Clinique

I bet you’re all bored with my adventures into Clinique at this point, but I have an addiction and it’s not going away. Look at all these goodies I got, aaaaannnd I only paid for two of them! I’m part of Selfridges Clinique By Invitation scheme, which is basically a reward system for loyal customers, and I got my first reward gift! If you can get over to a Selfridges, check it out because it’s well worth it if you like Clinique!

What I purchased: Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Face Mask – If you’ve seen my Instagram you’ll have seen my masked up face with this on the other day! My skin has been a little dull and broken out lately, and I’ve been eyeing this up for a while, and finally bought it! I think i’m going to add this into my weekly routine, because my skin was great after using this! I also purchased one of Clinique’s new Pop Lip Laquers, which if you know me by now, I’ve been wanting one ever since they were announced. This is essentially a liquid lipstick with a lovely glossy finish but the pigmented colour of a lipstick! I have the colour Wink Pop which is a lovely light pink shade that’s going to be a fab colour for spring and summer as we move into lighter makeup tones!

What I got for free (yes, free!)

Clinique Superprimer (worth £20) – this was a stroke of luck, because I’m almost out of primer at the moment! I’ve tried the redness correcting primer from Clinique before, which is pretty good at keeping my makeup on all day, so i’m looking forward to trying this. Clinique Quickliner for Eyes Intense in brown (worth £16). I’ve used this retractable eyeliner before in black and really liked it, so chose the brown eyeliner this time around as I tend to use more brown eyeliner in summer months. It has a handy little smudger on the end which is a really great addition!

The sales lady (who was really helpful, by the way), also gave me a few other little goodies, including a 7 Day Scrub Cream sample, A little High Impact Mascara, and a little hand cream which now lives in my handbag for when I need it!

Boots

My next stop was Boots, where I picked up one of Revlon’s new HD Ultra Matte Liquid lip colours. I’ve wanted one of these since I first saw them announced, so this was a must buy for me. I have the shade Addiction, which is a lovely deep plum colour (although it looks red in the pic, sorry, bad lighting) that is so flattering.

Revlon was on buy 1 get 1 half price in Boots, so I also thought I’d give their raved about Colorstay foundation a go! I loved that they do two different formulations for drier or oilier skin, and I’m on the combination-oily side so I chose that one. I normally go for the palest shade in foundation, but I still matched this up to my skin and the shade Ivory matched me best. I found the Colorstay foundation had a lot of shades with different undertones to pick from, which I liked! The bottle also has a pump on it now, which is both convenient and hygenic, and I’m really liking it so far, as it has a really natural glowey finish with a medium to high buildable coverage. It also has spf 15 in it, which will be really handy as the weather gets nicer (hopefully!)

As well as these, I also picked up some 101 Volume lashes from Eylure. I’m really getting on well with false lashes lately, after being terrified of them for a while thinking that my real eyelashes would fall out! (after reading some beauty horror stories at 3am when I couldn’t sleep). These ones are a bit bigger but nothing over the top, and great for evening or those days where you just want a little va-va-voom with your lashes! Also I picked up some Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash. This isn’t photographed as it’s in my shower at the moment, but I loooooove the sugary lime scent of this range from Soap and Glory, it’s just amazing!

NYX

How did I not know that NYX had a concession in Selfridges? Well I do now! I picked up a couple of things that I didn’t really need but seriously wanted!

What I bought: NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams in Milan and Stockholm. I already own a couple of these (in Sydney and Monte Carlo), and really like them, so I picked up a couple more colours. Milan is a nice bright pink perfect for spring and summer, and Stockholm is a lovely neutral colour. These are such a great product for the price you pay (£5.50 each) and last just as well as a higher end lip colour. I also picked up a Micro Brow Pencil in Brunette. I am seriously addicted to brow products lately, and this is fantastic. Really precise and easy to use, with a handy spoolie on the other end. The best part? No sharpening needed as it’s retractable.

Lush

Last stop on the beauty side of things was Lush. I love stepping into Lush and smelling all of the bath bombs and products (like basically everyone ever). I picked up a couple of things this time in Lush, so here we go.

What I bought: Happy Hippy Shower Gel – I’m a sucker for anything that smells Citrusy, and the grapefruit scent of this drew me in straight away! It was really affordable, too like most Lush products! I also picked out a small pot of their Mask of Magnaminty, which I’ve seen again and again on blogs so I had to try it out!

So that was everything I bought beauty wise on this massive shopping trip! What do you guys all think? Have you tried out any of these before and what did you think? Is there anything on here you want to see a review of on the blog? What’s your fave thing from my beauty haul this time around? Let me know down in the comments!

I stopped using my microbrow pencils for awhile cos I loved this one by Billion Dollar Brows that was sent to me. But it’s almost used up so I’m converting the bit that’s left & gone back to the NYX.

Nice haul! I have a love-hate relationship with Clinique, as their products are really pricey, I expect lots from them. And while my moisturiser works it smells so strongly of alcohol, it’s the weirdest thing. I am trying the redness solution cleanser now and I love how my skin feels afterwards.

I have included you for my nominations for the Liebster award, looking forward on reading your answers! 🙂

They’re expensive some of the time, but mostly I’ve been really happy with everything i’ve had from them. Some people don’t like them because nothing is fragranced, but I like it as i’ve got pretty sensitive skin!
Also thanks so much! I’ll be sure to answer your q’s soon! xoxo
