Hi my lovelies,
Can you believe it’s March already? Me neither!
If you’ve been reading my blog for a little while, you’ll know I’ve been getting Birchbox for a few months, and really liking it (mostly) so far!
For those of you who don’t know about Birchbox, it’s a beauty subscription service that sends around 5 beauty products (including makeup, skincare and haircare) to your door each month. Sometimes there is also a beauty bonus included, such as January’s #nofilter compact mirror! It costs £10 plus £2.95 postage, and in my opinion is well worth it so far as I’ve found products that I really love (Spectrum makeup brushes, anybody?)!
Birchbox also now ships to Ireland, so all you Irish lovelies can now get your hands on this little box of wonders too!
March’s Birchbox theme is ‘Word Up!’ and promises to help you search for your ultimate beauty discovery! I’m assuming that means showing us brand new products that we haven’t used before, which I’m always up for. Looking at the photo, the box seems cute and wordsearch themed, with the whole “finding new beauty” a really integrated theme!
Also, Birchbox are promising not one but TWO full size makeup items in March’s box!
March will see the launch of Birchbox’s second beauty brand, Arrow. Every subscriber this month will receive a Full Sized Boost Colour enhancing Lip balm from this new brand.
Birchbox says that it’s specially formulated to adjust its colour to match your lips and give them a fab ‘your lips but better’ colour and a glossy sheen, all while moisturising. That’s a lot to ask from a little lip balm so I can’t wait to give this a go! The Birchbox website has this priced at £11, so this should be a fab addition!
Everyone is also going to receive a Full Sized Model Co More Brows in March’s box. Now I absolutely love finding new brow products, so I’m pretty pumped up about this! Essentially, More Brows is a tinted brow gel to match the shade of your brows, and promises to help you channel your ‘inner Cara’ to get perfect fuller brows without any of the messing around! Model Co isn’t a brand that I know much about, but I have one of their lipsticks from December’s box, and I really like it so i’m hopeful this will be good. The Birchbox website only shows this in two colours, though Light-Medium and Medium-Dark, so I’m not sure how they will go about matching everyone up with one of these! Full sized, and priced at £13.
Other goodies you could get in your box this month include:
- Philip B – Drop Dead Straightening Baume
- Lanolips – Rose Balm Intense
- Indeed Labs – Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Sheet Mask
- This Works – Sleep Plus Pillow Spray
- Amika – Nourishing Hair Mask
- Crea-m – Anti Aging Serum
- Spectrum Collections – Tapered Powder Brush (I’m guessing this is for new subs this month as it was in last month’s box)
- Rituals – Tai Chi Foaming Shower Gel
- Beauty Protector – Protect and Detangle Spray
- Paula’s Choice – Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant
Please bear in mind that you may get some of these products, you may get some completely different things too! It all depends on your beauty profile, as Birchbox tailor your box to fit your needs! I.E they probably won’t send anti ageing products to a 16 year old!
The wordsearch theme continues, as March’s box is actually an interactive word search, and if you find all of the words, you could be in the running to win a mystery beauty prize worth a massize £450! So If you needed any more reasons to buy this, here’s another!
Want to see what I got in last month’s box?
If you’re interested in trying Birchbox, You can use THIS LINK to try your first box, and by the look of it, March’s box seems a great place to start, promising to find you your next beauty must have! Using that link will get you £5 in the Birchbox shop to spend, and after leaving your reviews for this month’s box you should have £10 in points to spend in the shop!
Also, if you’re a student and have a UniDays account, you can get your first box half price! Add in the points if you use my referral and it’ll cost just £6.48 for the box plus £5 worth of points = £1.48 relative cost to you for your first box! A fab deal if I do say so myself! You can also use the code HAPPYDAYS (i think) to get 50% off your first box if you’re not a student!
So there we have our little sneaky peek into this month’s Birchbox! What do you think of these items? Do you get Birchbox and if so what are you hoping to get/looking forward to in this month’s box? Tried any of these before? Let me know what you think in the comments!
